Fulcrum Methods announced today that NorthBay Healthcare based in Fairfield, CA and Torrance Memorial Medical Center based in Torrance, CA are now using Fulcrum’s system lifecycle methodologies for a variety of information technology projects. Torrance Memorial Medical Center is using Fulcrum’s Vendor Selection Methodology to assist them with selecting an electronic health record and practice management system for their Physician Office Support Services (POSS) and NorthBay Healthcare is using Fulcrum’s suite of methodologies to improve project structure and streamline standards and processes. Fulcrum Methods’ Meaningful Use Methodology
Fulcrum Methods announced it has developed a Meaningful Use Methodology to assist healthcare providers qualify for reimbursement incentives associated with adoption of electronic health records under ARRA. The Meaningful Use Methodology allows hospitals and eligible providers to evaluate their current electronic health record capabilities against required criteria and measures, identify gaps and deficiencies, estimate resources to close identified gaps, and review business model issues associated with Meaningful Use stimulus payments. The Meaningful Use Methodology is provided in a user friendly on-line format similar to Fulcrum Methods’ other methodologies and includes a work plan, guidebook, and library of deliverables. Like all Fulcrum methodologies, the Meaningful Use Methodology will accelerate project rollout, reduce execution risk, improve control of critical success factors, and help providers achieve their economic goals.
